Makers United is a Community Interest Company that works with communities, organisations and creative practitioners developing innovative,
creative experiences, projects and products designed to enhance our wellbeing and living environment.
Makers United uses the term ‘making’ in its widest sense, from making a chair to making a decision, we use creativity to fuel that process and to encourage inclusion and innovation.
Our aim is to develop communities of craftmanship and creativity, widening opportunities for participation and progress.
We cover a range of activities such as concept development, product design, graphic design, identity development, branding,
creative facilitation, drawing, photography, animation, filmmaking, technology development and digital fabrication.
Who we are...
We are a collective of creatives and have been based in Liverpool producing projects for over 15 years
· Lol Baker: Lol specialises in concept development and building flexible technical infrastructures which enable creative play and experimentation·
· Andrew Hooper: Creates, teaches and experiments in whatever medium he can but is an illustrator at heart·
· Bernadette McGrath: Specialising in income generation, project management and partnership development, Bernadette has extensive experience in developing project activity to encourage social inclusion and wellbeing·
· Caroline White: Specialises in product conception, exploration, design, development and manufacture·
